"I could do it. I could restore our crumbling top soil to the lone from which the rich jungle sprang. And why stop there? Why not rebuild the forest of the Amazon, less green now than an average suburbia and shrinking by the day. I could drop grapes into the mouths of all the hungry children. Turn the Gallivan Sahara into green and rippling meadows, give the widows roses and the old men strawberries. I could touch all this world with wilderness as I have touched Gotham, could transform this planet to a sphere of perfumes, colors, and full bellies. I could save mankind. I could do anything. Anything. Is this then what it is to be a God? To know and never do? To watch the world wind by...And in it's winding find content? If I should feed the world, heal all the wounds man's smoldering industries have made, what would he do? Would he renounce the wealth his saw mills bring? Step gently on the flowers instead and pluck each apple with the respect for this abundant world and it's providence? No. He would pump more poisons, build more mines, syphen the knowledge that I stood on hand to mind the bio-sphere, endlessly covering the skies he could now endlessly inflict." - Swamp Thing

"...No...No, don't leave me...You'll die...With me you live forever...This isn't happening...It cant...No pain...No pain anywhere...Light fails...Music falters...I need pain...Oh, the dark comes on in waves...I...I...Thought I was part of the grand story...The story that...That would at last give meaning to this senseless trajectory...The loop and spin of being...Instead...Instead I have learned a horrible truth of...Existance...Some stories have no meaning." - Doom Patrol

I never heard that first one. Really powerful, one of the best things i've read (now I NEED to buy Swamp Thing, strange i haven't done that yet).
some of my favorites:
"-I'm not blessed, or merciful. I'm just me. I've got a job to do, and I do it. Listen: even as we're talking, I'm there for old and young, innocent and guilty, those who die together and those who die alone. I'm in cars and boats and planes; in hospitals and forests and abbatoirs. For some folks death is a release, and for others death is an abomination, a terrible thing. But in the end, I'm there for all of them."
-Death, from The Sandman
"Women aren't a game. At least not one you can win."
Yorrick Brown, Y: The Last Man
"We're All puppets, Laurie. I'm just a puppet who can see the strings."
Dr. Manhattan, Watchmen
"I went to a clinic, to treat the sickness that took me. I knew my appearance would soon decline. I thought you too young to see me waste away. David visited me twice more after that, but i asked your father not to bring you again. It might sound cruel, but i loved you too much to see me like that. So you visited me that time, and the sun shone like it does now, and the waves were tall and rich like they were now. And we smiled and laughed and held hands and built sand castles. Please Jack... Please don't tell me you've forgotten that..."
Jack Knight's mother's ghost, from Starman
"No matter how bad life gets, you can make a great song out of it."
Flex Mentallo, from Doom Patrol.
"Free love to safe sex. Look what the world's become, man..."
